Our rates are simple and non-negotiable. To record at Timeline85 costs $35 an hour or $300 for a 10-hour day.

Most bands can record a four song demo in three days, allowing one day for tracking the main instruments (guitars/bass/keys/drums), one day for vocal and instrument overdubs, and one day for mixing. It takes about 4-5 hours to get the main instrument tones set up and dialed in, so additional tracking days are usually more effective than the first.

The most important thing to remember when planning a project is to allow yourself enough time to maintain a comfortable pace. You can't perform well if you're stressed about time. Remember that less is more, it's better to have 3 really good songs than 5 mediocre ones.
